For finance teams

Know what you've committed to before it renews.

The commitments that move your numbers are written in agreements, credit documents and board packs that nobody has time to re-read. Clarilytic reads them together — renewals and minimum spend, covenant headroom, related parties, the figures in a data room — and answers with the passage each number came from.

Invite-only pilot · Runs on the agreements and reports you already have

Eight questions, eight answers

The questions that land on finance the week before a board meeting.

Each answer below cites the agreement, report or statement it came from, so the number can be checked before it goes anywhere.

Every vendor agreement in force, with its amendments and renewal letters.

Which vendor agreements renew next quarter, and what do they commit us to?
Four. Three renew on their own: Cascadia's logistics agreement on 1 September at $240,000 a year unless notice is given by 3 June 1, Talon's order form in October at the then-current list price 2, and BrightWave's every year until someone gives notice 3. Meridian's simply expires unless you renew it 4.

Fictional companies and figures, real questions — these are the analyses the built-in finance setups are designed to run.

What it reads

Everything in the file, read together.

Point it at a vendor portfolio, a set of debt documents, a year of board packs or a data room. It reads what's there — amendments and side letters included — and connects the figures to the agreements and periods they belong to, so an answer doesn't depend on someone remembering which file holds it.

The documents

  • Vendor and customer agreements MSAs, statements of work, order forms, renewal letters and amendments
  • Debt documents credit agreements, revolvers, indentures, guarantees and their amendments
  • Financial statements audited financials and footnotes, compliance certificates, budgets
  • Board and deal materials board decks, investment memos, term sheets, cap tables
  • Filings and earnings calls 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K filings and call transcripts, where you have them
  • R&D credit files project narratives, timesheets, payroll registers, ledger detail, Form 6765 and prior studies

What it connects

Who it's for

Three jobs, one set of documents.

Controllers and finance operations

You approve the spend but rarely see the contract. Ask what renews next quarter, what each renewal commits you to, and which vendors carry more minimum spend than anyone remembered signing.

CFO and FP&A

The board wants the why, not just the number. Line up a metric across eight quarters with the commentary that explains each turn, and know your covenant headroom before the lender asks.

Tax and transactions

A study file or a data room, and a deadline. Find the projects that don't yet meet the four-part test on paper, and the figures in a seller's data room that don't agree with each other.

Ready on day one

Set up for this work before you start.

Nothing to configure first. The assistants, checklists and workspace layouts below ship across the contract, finance and R&D credit setups — pick the one that fits the work in front of you, and change any of them or write your own.

Assistants

  • @eci-renewals Renewal & Auto-Renew Tracker Finds agreements that renew on their own and the last date to give notice

Every time, the same way

Renewals decided on time, not discovered after they happen.

Finding a renewal is half the job; deciding it on time is the other half. Give renewals a route — when it starts, what gets read, who decides — and every agreement that comes due follows the same path, reaching its owner with the terms and the new cost in front of them while there is still time to give notice.

  • Nobody has to remember to start on time. The process waits for the date, then brings the agreement to the owner.
  • The owner sees the terms that matter and the new total before choosing.
  • Budget requests run the same way: a short form, a threshold, and the right person.

Why you can rely on it

Trust isn't a promise. It's a citation.

Answers you can check

Answers are grounded in your documents: numbered citations open the exact source passage they drew on, so you can check them. When Clarilytic is less confident about something it pulled out, the item is flagged for human review. You can also open a step-by-step trace of how any document was processed.

Your data, kept apart

Your documents and findings live in storage separated from every other customer's, encrypted in transit and at rest, with role-based access and a full audit log. Deleted means deleted — trash, then gone on request.

How your data is handled →

What it's not good at

Honesty over polish: handwriting and poor-quality scans can defeat it — readable text matters. It won't give legal or financial advice; it shows you what your documents say. And it can't answer from documents you haven't given it — it draws only on your files and cites the passages it used.

Questions finance teams ask first.

Does it connect to our accounting system?

No. It reads the documents and exports you give it — agreements, statements, board packs, spreadsheets — and does not connect to your ledger or ERP. What it answers comes from those files, and it cites them.

How do I check a figure before it goes in a board pack?

Answers cite the passages they used, and one click opens the source at that passage — the clause, the page of the statement, the line in the report. When it isn't sure about something it pulled out, it flags that for review instead of guessing.

Can it tell us what we've committed to spend?

Yes, as far as the agreements say it. It reads contract values and minimum commitments from each agreement and its amendments, and groups them by vendor and renewal date. Spend that isn't written into an agreement isn't something it can see.

Is this financial or tax advice?

No. It shows you what your documents say and where they say it. The judgement — and the sign-off — stay with your team and your advisers.

Are our documents used to train anything?

No. Your documents are used to answer your questions and nothing else — not to train systems for other customers, not for advertising.

Who on the team can see what?

Work is separated by workspace and shared explicitly, so a data room or a debt file can be kept to the people working on it. Team roles decide who can do what. The details are on the Trust page.

Bring the renewal list nobody trusts.
